WISDOM


Job 12:12 (KJV): With the ancient is wisdom; and in length of days understanding.

Job 28:28 (KJV): And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the LORD, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.

Proverbs 4:6-7 (KJV):

6.   Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.

7.   Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

Proverbs 10:13 (KJV): In the lips of him that hath understanding wisdom is found: but a rod is for the back of him that is void of understanding.

Proverbs 10:19 (KJV): In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.

Proverbs 11:2 (KJV): When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.

Proverbs 11:30 (KJV): The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.

Ecclesiastes 7:11-12 (KJV):

11. Wisdom is good with an inheritance: and by it there is profit to them that see the sun.

12. For wisdom is a defence, and money is a defence: but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it.


Ecclesiastes 8:1 (KJV): Who is as the wise man? and who knoweth the interpretation of a thing? a man's wisdom maketh his face to shine, and the boldness of his face shall be changed.

Ecclesiasticus 32:8 (1611 KJV Apocrypha): Let thy speech be short, comprehending much in few words; be as one that knoweth and yet holdeth his tongue.

Ecclesiasticus 1:22-24 (1611 KJV Apocrypha):

22.  A furious man cannot be justified, for the sway of his fury shalbe his destruction.

23.  A patient man will tear for a time, and afterward joy shall spring up unto him.

24.  He will hide his words for a time, and the lips of many shall declare his wisdom.
